Musicians wishing to audition for membership in the Valley Winds should email conductor Tedd Gullickson at teddggullickson@gmail.com.

The audition is very casual, there is no need to dress up. Be prepared to talk about your musical education and experience.

Choose your own music to perform. It can be a solo, part of a solo, excerpt, etude or even a piece of band music you are familiar with. Choose something that is about two minutes in length. Your selection should show off your musical and technical skills in addition to your range, tone quality, articulation, and other factors. Be prepared to play a full range chromatic scale and a couple major scales. Don't be nervous - we all want you to do great!

You may be given the result of the audition immediately. If not, you will be notified after all have auditioned. This could be immediate acceptance, acceptance after the next concert, or you may be put on a waitlist. We can also recommend other community bands to consider.
